Sonate Nr. 3 op. 109
Partly plays and sounds like a transcription of a chamber music work. Reminiscent of Brahms' (late) chamber music. GLINKA-VARIATIONS by
Kabalevsky, Kapp, Levitin, Sviridov, Shebalin, Shostakovich, Shchedrin, Eshpai
Sonate Nr. 3 op. 109

Alfor, a thousand thanks for the third sonata of Fuchs. I've been hoping to see this for a very long time, and it has given me great joy to see and play it. Of all the treasures you have bestowed on us, this is surely the best. Noble melodies in an absolutely perfect sonata form, with the spirit of Brahms hovering in the background - what more could one desire? I know I'll be playing it often and with increasing pleasure for the rest of my life. You are indeed a great benefactor! Sincerely, Gerald
