This piece plays like the transcription of an orchestral piece. Is it?

If anyone is still looking for the sonata, it is here, together with some other works I posted some time ago. Scanned from very old scores but should be readable.

Was born in 1947 in Krasnodar. In 1974 he graduated Leningrad Conservatory where he studied composition under Professor V.Salmanov and V.Uspensky, then did his post-graduate degree under Professor B.Arapov. His works are includes: symphonies, chamber and vocal music, and also music for drama.
RITUAL (1972) for piano.
