Leader of The Lindsay String Quartet Peter Cropper.
I had the pleasure watching him play on several occasions
in the 80s and 90s at Leicester's New Walk Museum. He was
very demonstrative and he seemed to excel when playing Beethoven.
It was a real shame when The Lindsays (as they called themselves
latterly) disbanded about 10 years ago.

was murdered in Manchester yesterday.
