Autographed Scores

If anyone owns a book or score containing a genuine signature/autograph
of a well-known musician or composer, why not scan the appropriate page
and let everyone else see it?
To get the ball rolling here's the cover of a Strauss score of mine, which
once belonged to Henry Wood.

Nice idea Tim, when I think about what books and music I have I am amzed at how many have been signed by performers and composers.
here for starters are my own Henry J. Wood signature on the score of Liszt's St. Elizabeth at its first Sheffield performance in 1910.
The other attachment is from a book bought in a charity shop some 50 years ago Conductors Gallery. The previous owner hunted down many big names, conductors, singers, pianists, violinists, orchestral leaders (called concertmasters in some lands) and composers. Here you will find but not becessarily be able to read Benjamin Britten, Malcolm Arnold and others. My scanner didn't like scanning the photo pages so sorry for any glitches in the pdf. Can anyone read the hieroglyph at the bottom of the last page, who might that be, any help gratefully received.
regards
Brian

I did something extraordinary in Market Harborough this afternoon
- bought myself 'The Associated Board Manual of Scales, Arpeggios,
and Broken Chords for Pianoforte' for just one pound from a charity
shop.
What was the reason for this apparently boring purchase? It has
Roger Quilter's fountain pen signature on the front cover. :-)

I've got a miniature score of a Bax Symphony (no. 5, I think) which seems to have Bax's signature on the title page, at the bottom. But I cannot quite tell whether it's genuine, or rubber-stamped by the publisher, who may have done it on thousands of copies. The ink looks as if it could be an old-fashioned fountain pen - but could also possibly be a rubber stamp. I think I've seen that signature on other Bax scores occasionally, too.

Regards, Michael.

Anyone who is a fan of Edmund Rubbra is spoilt for choice if he
or she is desireous of a score signed by the great Englishman!
Travis and Emery seems to have dozens of them, although none
are available on scores composed by the man himself, unfortunately.

With reference to the above message concerning Bax, thank you Michael
for posting it. If the signature is a rubber stamp, it's unclear to me if such
a signature is genuine. I have several scores with rubber stamp signatures,
but I don't tend to attach much 'provenance' to them, rightly or wrongly.
