Finale Help

Hello, I was wondering if somebody could help me. You see I am using Finale 2008 and I have been sitting here for the past hour trying to figure out the most simple thing. How do I place a small flat or sharp next to a trill symbol. Ive looked at the help manual and the trill tutorial. I just don't understand, they keep talking about some Engraver font and I have no idea what to make of that. Ive tried everything I could think of!
