Any plans to publish Kapustin's Toccata Op. 8? I would LOVE to get a copy of that work.

Arjuna - unfortunately the composer's manuscript of the Toccata op 8 has been mislaid - it's somewhere in Russia, but we don't know where. Believe me, if we could find it, it would immediately go to press...

As my Russian piano teacher would say "Oi Yoi Yoi!"

We should get a team of professional cat burglars to toss Kapustin's house for the missing music. We'd be doing him a favor.

I notice that in the Keyboard Music - Scandinavian Composers thread, there is currently a discussion
about Breitkopf, and what they may or may not have published in the past.
On a similar topic, I emailed Peters Edition in Germany a couple of years ago, to enquire about
availability of scores from their old catalogue, i.e. the one they used prior to starting their new
catalogue numbering system. Sadly, they were no help whatsoever.

I had similar experiences with Peters. They didn't even reply to my multiple mails to their archive.

Personally, I'd love to see Peters and the other long-established music publishers
reprint some of their old catalogue editions, either by using the original plates, if they
still have them, or by producing facsimiles based on digitised library or collectors' copies,
rather in the manner that Elibron and a few other enterprising publishers do.

Guys

I feel that this thread is being subverted a little. The thread is meant fairly exclusively for our publisher members and friends to offer their wares rather than for commentary on those publishers who fail us.

I'll set up another thread to cope with negative comments about publishers perhaps later tonight and wil also stitch in some of the recent comments from the piano music area.

I was thinking the thread might be called 'The Blackballed Publishers thread' - but alternative suggestions to me by PM please.

Hello everyone,

I'm quite lost in my search for the "Mills Music" publishing house.
Is it integrated in a modern catalogue of another publisher nowadays?
I need to find scores of John Vincent (1902-1973)...

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
