Not really a recital...

Post by timgill »

...more a friend's 70th birthday party. What I need are 2 or 3 piano pieces written in 1942 - nothing too difficult or heavy, just easy and light. Any suggestions? I'm doing it on May 5th.

Thanks

Let me suggest Prokofiev’s “Three pieces from Cinderella”, piano, 1942.

I hope it works for you.

More tips
Any easy piece from Rodeo (Copland)
Piano sonata No2 (Shostakovich)
Clock Fantasy Op. 94 (Turina)
Paisajes (Federico Mompou)
Circus Polka for piano solo (Stravinsky)
Piano sonata No7 (Prokofiev)
Excursion (Barber)
Ludus Tonalis (Hindemith)
and so...
(I was born in 1942 also...)
Good luck

Many thanks ilo & litu - I think I'll play one of the Prokofiev pieces!

Cheers
