Interesting stuff!

Sounds very interesting, however a search on google can't find any links for the label or either of the words in connection with Blanchet. Do you have a link that you can direct us to? Thanks,
Rob

There doesn't seem to be a website, as it sounds like it's a very new label.
From the original search I did, it seems the only place you can order it from is the following email address: rapsodia@bluemail.ch
The pianist/composer Michel Cardinaux responded to me, so I imagine this is who will also respond to anyone seeking this recording.
Best.

Poor old Charles Hubert Hastings Parry made the mistake of
being born in England, not mainland Europe.
This is the only reason I can think of to explain the lack of
recordings of much of his piano music.
For example, I've looked everywhere to locate a recording of
his splendid Bachian Grosses Duo in E minor for 2 pianos.
Could I find one? Daft question! :-( :-( :-(

Surely Hiro Takenouchi (sp?) will record this at some point? I think I've even heard him play it with Simon Callaghan.

Mozart's dramatic Piano Quartet in G minor K478 arranged for String Quintet
by virtuoso violinist Jean-Jerome Imbault (1753-1832) in about 1800,
would be a fascinating addition to the recorded repertoire.

Btw, I wonder if recording artists or record labels ever read this thread?

Dear Caprotti,

Mozart's String Quintet No.7 exists!

Many thanks! This is absolutely great - I'm speechless!

I'll burn it to CD immediately.

Regards, Tim.

With four movements (1,2,3 & 7) from the Grand Partita in Bb K361 having
also been arranged for String Quintet as K46, effectively there are 8 String
Quintets by Mozart.

What makes a nice compilation CD is the 3 String Quintets K46, K406 & K478a,
with music derived from K361, K388 & K478 respectively, where K478a is my
own made-up Köchel number.

K46 is available to download as an MP3 file from YouTube, as is K406, of course.
