Thank you Caprotti for going on with offering us interesting recordings, especially the Deutsches Requiem four hands is sublime.

Here is a nice lyrical Piano Concerto of Zarzycki, probably only known through a famous Mazurka for Violin and Piano, if I remember correctly op.26. This is a joy to hear, in spite of some distorsions:

ALEKSANDER ZARZYCKI (1834-1895)

Concerto for Piano and Orchestra op. 17 (1860)
1. Andante
2. Allegro non troppo
Wojciech Świtała, piano
Polska Orkiestra Radiowa = Polish Radio Orchestra (of Warsaw)
cond. Łukasz Borowicz

Here is another item from Poland/Ukraine. The Piano Quintet by Julius Zarebski, may be his major achievement, arranged for Piano and String Orchestra:

Zarebski Piano Quintet in Gm Op.34 orch. Agnieszka Duczmal
Eva Poblocka (pno); Amadeusz Chamber Orch dir A. Duczmal

Thanks a lot for the J. Moog mp3s. His own etudes are stunning. The Gieseking Chaconne is a rare gem. Any trace of the score?

Best,
Koon
I agree - Moog's etudes are quite something; they reminded me of Hamelin's in their virtuosity, but without the quirky humour. Very enjoyable to listen to!

A couple of gems you have their old chap, especially the Prudent which was Thalbergian.

I will forgive the pianist his "slips" as there are some hurdles to overcome in that transcription.

I have the urge to play some Prudent tomorrow.
