Good news. Sir Malcolm Arnold's opera The Dancing Master will
receive its world premiere in Northampton later this month.

Dear friends,
is there anybody interested in vocal score of Taktakishvili opera "Mindia"? Edited in Tbilisi 1972. Text in Georgian and Russian.
It`s real volume, not a scan. And I have no time to scan near 300 pages when nobody need it ;)
Our Library have too much copies and not much space to keep things not used over 20-30 years. They let them go for free.
If somebody is interested , please let me know.
BR.

Update.
Score found a new owner :D

Here is a vocal score of Alexandre Tansman's opera Il usignolo de Boboli, composed in 1963-65, on a plot of Mario Labroca. This is one of six that he composed amidst a very prolific career. For any interested, I assembled a very long list of his works on the following post from another forum:

Enjoy,

There's soon going to be a massive file on IMSLP of the full score
of one of Hummel's dozen or so operas - Mathilde von Guise Op100.
For those of us lucky enough to already have the recording (made
by Brilliant Classics a few years ago), and who like to see the scores
of their CDs, this is definitely going to be of great interest.

Alex, Hummel's choral music is also absolutely excellent. The late
Richard Hickox made some splendid recordings of his masses for the
Chandos Chaconne label.
Another thrilling work is Der Durchzug durchs Rote Meer (The Passage
through The Red Sea) recorded by Hermann Max on the CPO label.
It contains an astonishing coloratura soprano aria - not unlike The
Queen of the Night Aria from Mozart's The Magic Flute, whilst the
rest of this superb operatic oratorio sounds very much like Beethoven,
but on a good day. Had B's name been on the title page I'm sure it would
be part of the standard choral repertoire. Has it ever been preformed
at the Proms? Of course not, and yet B's Sym9 gets played EVERY season.
The phrase 'neglected masterpiece' is often bandied about, but to my
mind this work is truly is a neglected masterpiece.

Another noteworthy upload to IMSLP today is Zemlinsky's Der Zwerg
(The Dwarf) Op17. Fortunately it's the VS, so it's playable on the piano.

Where would we be without that great site?

This Raff VS promises to be a cracker when IMSLP
make it available, hopefully later on today. :-)
