“Zarzuelas y Operetas”

Since I am receiving requests about songs of Zarzuelas and Operetas, I am starting this thread about these very important music forms, mostly in Spain and Latin America.

The scores are available in full score, piano/canto, and piano transcriptions.

Plácido Domingo is perhaps the most significant exponent.

Despite it is not my line, I will be glad to support this thread.

Thank you.

ILU

Manuel de Falla wrote a Zarzuela http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Los_amores_de_la_In%C3%A9s and I've always wondered what it's like! 8-)

I have "Los amores de la Inés" (vocal score)
I can scan (in separate pages) and upload. Give me a time...
Is not a very creative work, but have some nice harmonic details.
The melodic line is conventional.

Once again, sorry my english...

lito valle: You write a wonderful English, apprehensible for many of us who do not have the gift of understandig every "apercu" (French) dedicated to the Pianophilia community by English motherspeakers. IMHO you don't have to be so shy.

At the moment I'm searching my (printed) collection for a rather unchallenging 2H version of "Intermedio" from "Leyenda del beso" by Soutullo & Vert (Reveriano Soutullo Otero 1884-1932 & Juan Vert Carbonell 1890-1931). I'll place it here, OK? Be patient - "tranquilo, por favor!"

This time not Zarzuelas.
J. Rodrigo - "En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor"
As I understand it`s one of variations of second part of Guitar Concerto

Any help?
Unfortunately Youtube doesn`t work for me. So may be just a text on Spanish?

Having just listened to it, although without a score open, I noticed no differences from the second movement of the guitar concerto except that the voice replaces the guitar wherever possible (ie anywhere where the guitar has a tune!), singing a text in Spanish. I didn't know this existed. It's very effective, and perhaps even more gorgeous than the original.
