Alexander Mosolov (1900-1973)
Three Children's Scenes, Op.18
Mosolov A - Op 18 Three Children's Scenes.pdf
One of the extremely rare scores from such a well-known composer. Orchestrated version by Edison Denisov (1929-1996) is famous, however strangely the original version for piano and soprano is not performed by any performers.

A collection of folk songs by a composer/arranger who worked in the state publishing house for many years and composed a fair amount of good piano music. All of the words are folk lyrics, with the exception of the third song.

Konstantin Stepanovich SOROKIN
Ukrainian Folk Songs (15), for voice and piano, op. 77 (pub. 1981); 1. The Maple Standing Above the Water, 2. Song about a Mosquito, 3. Twisting, the Wind, to Ukraine (words by S. Rudansky), 4. Why, Why Not Come, 5. The Nut, 6. They Said: 'Come, Come', 7. The Wind is Blowing, the Storm is Blowing, 8. The Girl Standing in the Shadows, 9. Oh, the Wind is Blowing in the Field, 10. Oh, the Girl Walked by the Shore, 11. I'm Going to Heaven, 12. Oh, Girl, Make a Noise, 13. You Hear, my Brother..., 14. Oh, in the Grave Field, 15. Old Grandma
