Hi everyone,

I'm looking for one of the flute standard pieces:
Ernesto Koehler's op. 79 Zukunftstraum, "Dream of the future".

Does anyone have an idea if to find it in a library
as I don't want to buy the whole "Salon" book available
to just get one piece out of it?

Thanks in advance and a happy christmas day,
Arglmann

If anyone is interested, there is a flute quartet by Léon Kreutzer at the BNF in Paris. It delighted the audiences who had the privilege of hearing it in the mid-1800s, not only because of the unusual scoring (for the time), but because it seems to have been masterly written for the medium.

Does any one have the Grand Sonata Concertante for Flute and Piano, op. 44, by Ignaz Moscheles?
Would you suggest any other interesting music for flute and piano?
Thanks in advance!!

This might be a good question in a music quiz:-
What did CPE Bach, JS Bach, Gaubert, Handel, Hindemith,
Hummel, Martinu, Poulenc, and Reinecke all have in common?
- They all wrote flute sonatas, but I'm sure you knew that! :-)
I have a soft spot for Reinecke's Undine Flute Sonata Op167.
