Following on my postings of music from Central Asia. Atadzhanov has been covered in the pinao solo thread, but this work is a collaboration with Kadyrov.

Gafur Kadyrovich Kadyrov. Born 1917, Tashkent, Uzbekistan : died 1985, same. Uzbek composer and teacher.

He graduated in 1945 from the Tashkent Conservatoire, after studies with Nadezhdin. Between the years 1945-1959 he taught at the Tashkent Musical College and from 1960 he became an associate professor at the Tashkent Conservatoire.

Georgy Aleksandrovich Mushel’. Born 1909, Tambov : died 1989, Tashkent. Pianist and composer.

He graduated in 1930 from the Tambov Conservatoire, and later in 1936 from the Moscow Conservatoire, where he had studied composition with Aleksandrov, Gnesin and Myaskovsky, and piano with Oborin.

He joined the faculty of the Tashkent Conservatoire in 1944. His music often incorporates Uzbek folk material, and he wrote the first Uzbek opera ‘Farkhad and Shirin’ and wrote the first Uzbek symphony.

Alexei Lvovich Larin. Born 1954, Saratov. Russian composer and teacher.

He graduated from the Moscow Boys Chapel in 1971, and then studied composition under Peyko at the Gnesin State Music and Pedagogical Institute, graduating in 1976. Completed assistant Internship at the Gnesin Institute in 1979.

Since 1978, he has been teaching at the Gnesin Russian Academy of Music (since 1998 as professor). Among the many students he has taught are: V. Belyaev, T. Ibrahimova (Russia - Germany), V. Magdalits, L. Micheva, P. Turabi (Tajikistan), and Dang Hong Anh (Vietnam - Poland).
