Weber's sonatas aren't too well known (I never heard any live) - much less this transcription of the 3rd one for 2 pianos:

Are the Joan Trimble pieces available from Schott these days? Has anyone bought them recently?
Are there scans of them available better than the few scans of the few pieces that I already have? (I do not have then on my website because of the USA copyright laws.)
I just today found that a bit of her 2-piano music is online:

Actually I got the link from the Phoenix Public Library site. It is the first two tracks from the cd
01 The Cows are-a- milkin: The Cows are-a-milkin
02 The Gartan Mother's Lullaby
I have a score for the Lullaby, which I have performed several times.

My only resource in these parts, U. of North Tx music library, has got zilch on Trimble (other than a couple of CD's). No scores. Damn. The hunt is on.

Mother-of-pearl! Schott has neither The Cows are-a-milkin or the Pastorale Hommage to Poulenc. And what they do have is a mite pricey:

Just checked worldcat and they also have no listings for the Cows or Pastorale. Ditto Ebay and Amazon.

I fully agree with Caprotti's valuation of Mozart's Trio KV 563 - and happily add a 2 piano transcription, the playing of which still is far from trivial IMO. But it is a rewarding experience!

Enjoy,

This transcription of a duo for organ and piano (by the composer) was just released by the Rochester library. Quite virtuosic as it seems, I didn't know it at all.

These pieces would of course also fit perfectly in the Salon music thread...
