Thank you for your kind reply, dear isokani.
I already have the recording of this symphony. and I'll try to find this transcription.

There is a copy in Berlin but the problem will be with copyright as Krein died in 1951 (most European libraries are usually very strict on copyright).

Aleksandr Borodin (1833-1887) - I was surprised this was not on IMSLP, nor do I think it has been posted on Pianophilia (but that's not to say it hasn't been posted somewhere) !

I've started to scan all my remaining Russian photocopied music....so odd bits will likely appear on this site at some stage (if they are not already on IMSLP, or previously on PP).

His Allegretto from the String Quintet in F minor (3rd movement) - arranged for Piano / 4 hands (title incorrect on pdf attachment - should read Quintet).

Scans of the two volumes of Parry's Characteristic Popular Tunes of the British Isles have just appeared on IMSLP.

Dear Malcolm,
Are you sure it's a part of f minor quartet? Borodin seems to have written only 2 quartets, none of them in f minor... And they don't have any allegretto...
There are two other mysterious pieces transcribed for 4H, maybe from this "f minor quartet": a Tarentella (in D) and a Polka (in d minor). Have you heard about a third quartet?
Yours,
M.
