I thought that recording to be unsatisfactory great leader. I assume things have improved in the last 24 years.

The recording of Graunke/Nikisch is from Edition Sedina; this is mentioned in the description on the EliteClasica page. BTW, don't bother with eMule - I use it and have asked to download the set. From the way things look, there is no likelihood of success. I will keep it in the queue but don't I don't expect it will work. I also used a general search of Newsgroups and have found no mention of the set, so that may be why eMule isn't finding it.

Here is a link to order the CD from Edition Sedina. I plan to order a copy to see what it's like since the page only has a short excerpt.

Doesn't look like it will give a link to the exact page but it won't take much navigating to find CD 7 of the Graunke series.

It is indeed exciting.

Perhaps we need a new thread.

As keeper of the CPS, perhaps you should take time away from plucking your out-of-tune banjo collection and create one...

No doubt too busy cleaning windows, or standing on the corner of the street or maybe laid low by Auntie Maggie's Remedy which of course requires a trip to Mr. Wu's..... anyway, far too busy I'm sure...

Very amusing gentleman, but I do not pluck, I pick and all 12 of my banjos are in perfect tune :D.

Now i'm off to show the barmaid at the rose and crown me little stick of Blackpool rock and you don't need a licence for that.

This is an incomplete manuscript of a piano concerto, the identity of which is currently a mystery, despite the efforts of many knowledgeably chaps.

Concertingly.

The Napoleao was broadcast on Radio 3 recently.

A bit of a blaster if somewhat lacking in the melodic interest department.
