Ok, sorry, Alfor !

I had this score before it was re-posted by oren.
But unfortunately I forgot, whose scan it is.

So I thought, one more thanks could be better than one less.

In this case I was wrong. Sorry.
Best regards, Ferruccio

Never mind, dear Oren, dear Ferruccio! Hope, we will soon have a score archive. My (posted) scans can be recognized by the ominous "foreword" page - but obviously many people delete this page from the file!!

Will be back again tomorrow with a bunch of new (old) scores!
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

I have been meaning to scan this Toccata for months but have only now got round to it.
Nandor Zsolt (1887-1936) was a violinist and pupil of Hubay. This seems to be his only major piano work and he seems to have had a surprising understanding of virtuoso piano writing given this was not his instrument. As you can see the work was written for Moiseiwitsch, though I have no idea if he ever performed it.

Thank you for this fine piece! Moiseiwitsch indeed did play it:

Thank your for this beautiful and effective work, Scharwenka790 and Alfor, you amaze us by finding a review of a performance by the dedicatee.

Thanks, Malcolm, for the Lloyd & Howgrave toccatas. Nice to see a pair like this that don't follow the usual technical devices, like alternating hands. They play well, too!
