Dear Alfor,
Thank you for this great album. What happened with the file ? It seems to be duplicated, and the second copy is upside down and truncated. Did you intend to attach another album to the first one (which is actually said to be the fourth of the collection) ?

Alfred, thank you for the rare collection of miniatures. "Les Chefs-D'Oeuvre des Grands Maitres Contamporains" contains only a few pieces I'm familiar with.

Dear fellow experts in piano literature,

I am looking for some decent examples of quartal harmony in piano music,
especially the use of „double-fourth“ chords (e.g. c-f-b flat).
I was sure that I did know some fine examples, but my memory fooled me and I only recalled the use of single fourths (Bartok, Debussy, Blanchet a.o.).

Please help!!!

Dear Alfor,

I may be mistaken, but seem to recall that mid to late period Scriabin has been studied in light of its relation to the use of stacked fourths; i.e. his 'mystic chord.' This might in fact have been a combination of straight and augmented fourths, but perhaps the ideas in his sonatas #4-10 could provide examples of what you are looking for.

Of interest may also be the Dohler Etudes in the Methode of Methodes...particularly his 2nd one, which I believe is the 12th in the set.
