I believe that his kind of pedal notation was taken from Beniamino Cesi. see for instance the attachment.

Six Studies on Schubert by B. Cesi are without doubt one of most curious scores that I have ever seen! Does anyone know if they have ever
been recorded ? Many many thanks for posting !

This CESI had been deleted............ understandably.

I regretted that i did not make a download.....could someone please help??
Now i must adopt a "KIASUISM" attitude in pianophilia.... download everything, lest one day i may need it.

(Incidentally, KIASUISM is a trait of singaporeans... a bad attitude that simply is afraid to lose out in life)

No 128 is W. A. Mozart's Adagio b minor - KV 540. This series is truly great: in the earlier issues, up to approx. 1990,
on the last cover page one could find a very nice presentation of the composer and a compact but interesting
description of the piece, in its cultural and historic context. In the later issues this informative page is absent. The editorial work
and the score presentation were from the begining excellent and continue to be so. They are based on preparatory work
of such piano personalities as Z. Drzewiecki , S. Szpinalski and others in 50' and 60'; These people excelled as pianists, pedagogues
and editors. There is nobody who can replace them......

Dear Alfor,
I suspect you deliberately chose to mispell that poor César Franck with an extra H, in order to raise the number of comments !
Whatever, I admit that we should thank you more often for your incredible and generous flow of interesting scores.
Thanks.

Dear Alfor, great score of Franck/Samazeuilh, thanks for your generosity,

Thank you for re-uploading these extremely sophisticated pieces which are a strange mixture of transcriptions and studies (reminding of Busoni and Tagliapietra).

I'm glad to revisit the Cesi pieces. They are very unusual, effective and a surprise adaptation of Schubert. Interesting pedal notation which he did not employ on his 3 Italian pieces. Time to lament that we only have 3 sets of pieces from this interesting composer.
