Those of us at a certain age can't help but think of Disney's Fantasia and Mickey when hearing the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Which also brings to mind "Night on Bald Mountain" - also in Fantasia, and my first view of a great conductor in action, Leopold Stokowski. I remember as a youngster being on the edge of my chair as my first introduction to Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra was used by Ernie Kovacs in his TV show.

Great fun playing the very colorful Gruenberg piece and full of pianistic surprises, Alfor--this is quite beautiful. My ears are loving the Krein Violin piece--his harmony is so interesting that I've played through this piece 4 times. Many thanks, Alfor.
