Thanks Alfor. Ever since I have heard Richter's recording, Waldenszenen became one of the few Schumann works that I like. G's edition is nice indeed, with its detailed attention to fingering and pedalling to attain utmost legato.

Many thanks Alfred....we seem to have reawakened a Goldenveizer music season :)

Two more original works from me for the weekend. I'll post them here and then later move to the main opus list on the first post.

Unfortunately The Fourteen Revolutionary Songs for piano solo is incomplete - when I came to scan I did not realise that a second page is missing from No. 13, and alas no No. 14. I hope to complete this next time I speak with colleagues in Russia.

Op 30 Nine Pieces
1. Prelude 2. Song 3. Dance 4. Impromptu 5. Slow Waltz 6. Reflection [Meditation]
7. Sketch 8. Caprice 9. From the Past

Fourteen Revoluntionary Popular Songs for piano solo [incomplete]

Dear Malcolm, thank you for more original Goldenveizer (-vejzer, -weiser)!
I wonder whether these Revolutionary Songs do in any way represent his position on communism.
