Ah, what wonderful fingering you have give us here, Alfred. Very nice indeed! Just wish I a little more enthusiasm for this piece more so trying again with this new fingering. I rarely get past the Etudes Tableau these days (and the other more "exotic" offerings you posted in previous years.) Seems like the Corelli variations aren't played all that much and don't crop up on programs very often.

Dear fleubis, thank you very much for feedback!

I felt the urge to complete my fingering of the PROKOFIEFF Sonatas.

Some extremely dense textures towards the end of the last movement.
But I cannot avoid the impression that these pages are pleasing the eye more than the ear.
So I do understand why P. felt a need for revision.

Sergei S. PROKOFIEFF (Prokofiev, Prokofjew)
Sonata No. 5 original version op. 38

I'm glad P did revise that sonata. I found the earlier version extremely difficult to play and as you say, Alfred, very thick textures in the last movement that no mount of pedaling and fingering can really clarify. The later version is infinitely preferable, IMHO.

You may like to have a look at the Bax' pages...
(who always has the merits of an extraordinarily fine piano writing.)

You are welcome. dear soh choon wee!
I made only a couple of changes, which IMHO represent an improvement.
But why not compare with the older version:

Eleven volumes of the complete works of Spendiarov have been uploaded to IMSLP. Vol.3 contains works for piano, violin and piano, cello and piano, string quartet, and string trio.

Jim, if that's Spendiarov, Aleksandr, I'm not seeing it there.
