Thanks for letting us know. The copy of Syntheses is excellent ... I learned this piece from a truly terrible copy. I can see the notes properly at last!

As before, special thanks to relative and Jim Faston for helping make these curious pedagogical volumes available. Here is number 6, from 1984. I've not heard much by any of these composers, but Gleb Sedelnikov has a few recordings available on eBay and Amazon, including an interesting opera for voices and string quartet based on Dostoyevsky's debut novel Poor Folk. That composer's Children's Book no. 1 appeared in a previous issue from this series.

Children's Albums by Soviet Composers, for piano, vol. 6 (Young Pianist's Library) (1984)

Tatyana Borisovna NAZAROVA-METNER - Picture-Pieces (18); 1. Early Morning, 2. Morning at the Summer Camp (Etude), 3. The Musical Box, 4. Evening in the Village, 5. Teaser, 6. June Morning, 7. Thanks again to relative and Jim. This volume followed the previous one later in 1984 and features (a.) considerable amount of ethnic variety and (b.) a set of works that John Cage might have loved. I hope everybody has a safe and happy New Year's Eve (i.e. try not to spill too many drinks into the piano :geek: ).
