Alec Rowley

Alec Rowley. Born 1892, London: died 1958, London. English composer. Studied at the Royal Academy of Music, and upon graduation became a teacher and examiner. Wrote extensively for the piano, and particularly noted for his easier teaching pieces. His works include a pantomime "The Princess Who Lost a Tune", two piano concertos, a rhapsody for viola and orchestra, a concerto for oboe and orchestra, chamber works including quartets & trios, and many piano pieces.

Not a major change, but his first name is actually "Alec", with a C. I knew him through a piano concerto that Peter Donohoe recorded on Naxos. Thanks for these gems.

Yeah i love that cd. Comes with concertos by ferguson, Darnton, Gerhard.
I suppose scores by any of these concertos, are heavily copyrighted.
