I do not know how long he was a pupil of Chopin, but this piece is clearly not influenced by the Master. Relates more to the Salon or Parlour music.

Thank you very much for the Ballade by Mikuli, it is a very enjoyable piece to play.

with regard to Gutmann, has anyone seen his delightful Bolero? as performed on the Pupils of Chopin disc ... should be Op. 36, but I've also seen it quoted as Op. 35 .... a great piece with some flair !

We have already had some Leybach scores on here, but I have found several more in my collection that don't seem to be posted anywhere. Here is the first piece.
