Pedro Hernandez......can't seem to find out anything about this chap, and checking online throws up various Pedro Hernandez from Cuba, Mexico, USA etc....so no idea which one wrote this enjoyable Tango.

I see several mentions to a Pedro Hernandez from Cuba, good violinist in Orquesta Antonio María Romeu:

You better doubt it! because I do not have a clue about Pedro Hernández.

According to your search, he was a member of a band “Orquesta Romeu” founded by Antonio María Romeu (1876–1955); he was a violinist indeed.

"Romeu founded his own orchestra in 1910. The initial line-up for Orchestra Romeu was: Romeu (piano); Feliciano Facenda (violin); Alfredo Valdés (flute); Rafael Calazán (double bass); Remigio Valdés (timbal); Juan de la Merced (güiro): quite a small group. By the 1920s the orchestra included Francisco Delabart (flute); Augusto Valdés (clarinet); Juan Quevedo (violin); Aurelio Valdés and Félix Vásquez (güiro); Antonio Ma. Romeu (son, violin); Pedro Hernández (violin); Dihigo (trumpet); Regueira (trombone) and José Antonio Díaz (flute). In the 1930s the orchestra added even more musicians, and became for a while a 'big band'. In wartime, with a diminution of tourism, the band reduced its size.

Does anyone know Michel Cheskinoff.

The only hint that I have is that he was a composer (Russian or Soviet?), and he teached at the Lebanon Conservatory.
Info and some score (s) would be appreciated.

I do not think that this composer is Russian [despite the name] as I can find no trace of him at all on any of the Russian websites I usually use to check information. All I can find is that he taught at the Beirut Conservatoire.....so may have been born / educated in that area.

It might be easier to contact this Giovanni Marradi fellow: http://www.giovanni.com/bio.html who claims to have studied under him at the Russian Conservatory in Beirut.

There is a reference to a piano method, but otherwise all I have is this (partial) set of progressive studies.
