Hello all again!

I am looking for some rare left hand music that was dedicated to Paul Wittgenstein.

Hans Gál: Piano quartet in A major (1926)

Juliusz Wolfsohn: "An der schönen blauen Donau" by Johann Strauss (Sohn) transcribed for piano left hand (1934)

Maybe one of you know where to find the scores? (I know the Gál is published, but it's quite expensive....)

Following my previous post: I did find the Gál Piano Quartet in the mean time. Quite a bit of virtuosity in there!

Another example of very charming music came along recently: the German romantic Alexis Hollaender. He wrote no less than 4 opuses of left hand pieces, stylistically rooted in Schumann’s music. I found the scores to his op. 31 and 52 pieces, but does anyone know where I could find the pieces op. 66 and 69??

Hi Folke

Just checked and both scores can be found in the Berlin State Library (old card index) - they are usually quite reasonable on costs for copies (likely 15-20 euros I would estimate for both scores).

does anyone have the Albert Biehl Op. 44 studies, which predominantly feature the LH, perhaps including some pieces for LH alone? I wanted to ask here first, before going on the hunt. Thank you!

Here is a difficult request : I am looking for a transcription by Geza Vichy for piano left hand entitled "Fantasie über motive aus Wagner Tannhäuser". There is an amazing recording by Artur Cimirro which makes you curious to see with the score how it is possible that sounds as it was written for 2 hands.
