Raffaele D'Alessandro

Post by Roncesvalles »

The Fonds Raffaele D'Alessandro has many unpublished works (for various forces) available for download at its website http://ead.nb.admin.ch/html/alessandro.html. For piano, there are D'Alessandro's Etudes for the left hand, alone, and virtually all of his songs for voice and piano are available for download. All scores (to the best of my knowledge) are from scans of manuscripts. The writing of notes is generally clear, but the song lyrics can be difficult to decipher.

D'Alessandro's music is post-impressionist, full of interesting harmonies and not without some lyricism.

Dear Members

Does Anybody know about composer Marescotti?
The sole music I can find is Fantastique by Michelangeli
I found his other music such as Ittocseram(Massada Eilia Cherea)

Could you explain about Marescotti and his piano music ?

Ittocseram is Marescotti spelled backwards.
Catherine Aubert has recorded his Esquisses Nos.1&2, which both consist
of 3 quite pleasing pieces, judging by the snippets I've listened to.
He also composed a piano concerto in 1956.
