Two 19th. century piano sonatas by Ludwig Dill (1812-1887)
have just been uploaded to IMSLP, Piano Sonata in G minor Op.2
and Piano Sonata in G major Op.3.

Does anyone know anything else about this composer please?

from German wiki page: he was a judge but also active as composer and writer. Wrote 60 sonatas (for piano??) of which 16 have been published. Pazdirek lists op.1-4 as piano sonatas and an edition by Leuckart with 12 sonatas.

Thank you Hobbypianist for the information, as well for the Dill files themselves,
and all the other fantastic files which you've uploaded to IMSLP over the years.

oh, thanks for your kind words. :)
Well, unfortunately I don't have the time anymore to scan hundreds of pages like in the past so I mainly concentrate on digitized pieces from other libraries meanwhile. But now and then a small one is still possible.

I wish you and everyone here Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

There seems to be something of a Jadassohn-fest taking place on IMSLP today.
Clicking on the recent changes tab will reveal various sets of his piano works.
