Julius Röntgen (1855-1932)

Post by mballan »

In light of the vast amount of music that Julius Röntgen wrote I feel he deserves his own thread, although his music scores seem to be rather hard to locate these days.

Excellent biographical note on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julius_R%C3%B6ntgen

I am posting the Op 8 Fantasie [with special thanks to Peter for this].

This is just really excellent stuff.

We need more threads devoted to important composers. Members have, perhaps quite rightly, been reluctant to create new threads, but the software for this forum gives the admins at least 90% of what we wanted, so really members can be rather less cautious in creating new threads. We can always merge threads and move posts between threads. Any questions then of course just contact one of us - there are SIX admins after all... 8-)
