Samuel Coleridge-Taylor

Post by cocorumcafe »

Hi everyone,

I am very interested in Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's piano music. Could anyone kindly post some of his music here?

Hello - A great many of the Coleridge-Taylor scores may be downloaded from the IMSLP site. Hopefully the link below will take you there, otherwise search International Music Score Library Project and you should find it. Navigate to the IMSLP/Petrucci Library and select composer name, etc.

There's also quite a bit of S.C-T. at the Sibley Library of Eastman-Rochester:

Some of this has of course been uploaded to IMSLP.

I would strongly urge members to download from SIBLEY rather than IMSLP so that the powers that be who subsidise Sibley to carry out their digitisation projects see a higher rather than a lower number of downloads.

I might add that more threads devoted to single significant composers would be very welcome here - although of course this thread will always remain fairly small.

Dear Rob,

Thank you for the link. This is very easy to download actually.
A composer like Samuel Coleridge-Taylor is long forgotten and I think it will be very useful to have a thread like this. I am very keen to find out about him if anyone had known him personally or knows some stories.
