I really don't understand why so much of his music has gone out of print.
Here is another great one that's gone out-of-print: El retablo del Alcalzar.

Thank you so much for this!

You are both very welcome.

I normally include a color cover w the b&w, however the hardware I have access to makes it difficult to execute as a merged file like previous. I am happy to post a separate single color scan of the cover if anyone likes for this and in the future.

Best,
S

There is a transcription of the fourth movement of the Villa Lobos Bachianas Brasileiras #2 O trenzinho do caipira, The Little Train of Cipira for cello and piano. W254.
I'm wondering whether anyone can guide me towards locating it.

There is also a piano transcription that I'm finding listed on a CD by Ira Levin. I imagine he might have created it himself. But if anyone knows anything about this transcription, I'd appreciate learning more.

Thank you kroket & lito valle for the very nice Mignone pieces--he writes well for the piano in his chosen idiom.

Time to call attention to the Brazilian miniaturist Henrique Oswald. Several of pieces are found in IMSLP here:

After hearing Paul Barton's excellent rendition of the Op.14 Barcarolle:

I downloaded everything. Many of his pieces are quite worthwhile, reminiscent of Faure but with harmonic twists. I especially like the 1st of the 3 Etudes, but wonder if anyone has found the other two missing etudes.

You have probably already noticed, but Oswald's piano concerto is the next release on Hyperion's Romantic Piano Concerto series, coupled with Napoleao's 3rd(?)
:)
