I can imagine the amount of work and effort goes into what Malc is doing with those Georgian scores... I remain indebted as ever and in awe.
Thank you Malc!

Best regards,
Parag

Here's someone who's definitely going to be patient, Malcolm; thank you so much for all your hard work! Really enjoying reading all that Georgian and Russian, too! 8-)

Very best,

Thank you gentlemen - I have cleared about 400 of the 900 scores available on the Georgian site but as I said 95% are vocal works, with the odd handful of piano, instruemntal and orchestral works. I will post all the piano works - and can eventually also look at the instrumental and orchestral works as well. However, if there is something that is of specific interest then contact me (personal message or e-mail), and I can send you via e-mail. In all cases the scores are very large file sizes, and I am grateful to Parag who has reduced these so I can post on Pianophilia.

Our next composer is Tariel Lukich Bakradze. Georgian composer. Born 1922/23 in Tbilisi : died 1997, same. In 1944 he graduated from the Tbilisi Medical Institute, and in 1953 from the Tbilisi Conservatory - composition class with Tuscia. From 1948, was a research assistant and from 1961 worked at the Epidemiology Department of Medical Parasitology and Tropical Medicine Centre. Doctor of Medicine (1968), Professor (1971). From 1953-1961 taught at the Central Music School in Tbilisi.

This album consists of two works for the young - translation of titles below.

Eight Pieces for Children (Muzfonda 1966)
1. Walking
2. Fairytale
3. Minx
4. Meditation
5. Skipping rope
6. In the forest
7. The ruins of the old castle
8. The Riders

Three Pieces (Muzfonda 1968)
1. Dance
2. Volchok [Spinning Top]
3. Novella
