Thank you kind folk….…and finally, the last few gems. This is part two of various smaller works by Azerbaijan composers. Again I’ve split them so they can be classified under the appropriate composer’s name.

Azimov [Azizov] A – Sonatina

I have mentioned Azimov previously - his Sonatina is dated from 1963. That would appear to be the totality of his piano works.

A pretty famous, esp in soviet russia, Armenian composer : Arno Babajanian
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arno_Babajanian

I don't have any sheet music, I've listened to a lot of his stuff: the piano trio, armenian rhapsody (piano+ orch, 2 piano arr available)...
He also wrote multiple soundtracks and song cycles. A lot of his music is written with caucasus style harmony.

knowing russian/armenian helped find some of these.

elegy and vagashapat dance is pretty good
nocture/armenian rhapsody is his most popular i think
Thanks so much, Bkthugs for this collection! I'm afraid Babajanian was new to me before exploring your contribution, but with the help of the scores (and several fine performances on Youtube) I've made quite a discovery! The range of his musical language, from the stunning percussive pianism of the Toccata, through to populist but heartfelt Romantisim (the marvellous Elegie) is quite extraordinary. Thanks again for your great contribution!
Unfortunately I couldn't open the Tif files (even after downloading 'Brava'), but found a copy of the Elegie in PDF form on the Net in an unlikely place, at http://blogs.myspace.com/sonyakahn (about half-way-down the page; she gives a great performance of the piece on youtube). The music is unashamedly 'light' (it was for a film after all) and popular in style, but really very effective and rather beautiful.
Does anyone have the remaining Tif file in the list (another Armenian 'popular' classic, the Dance of whatshisname) in PDF fromat, by any chance?
