Hello richard, here is the Casella, the copy is a pre-publication copy stamped Non Pubblicato Bozza di Stampa on horrible brown paper. The printing is quite faint so I had to copy it with a quite a bit of background dirt. Hope it is still legible enough.
best wishes
Brian

The Music of Italy

Postby Richard0428 » Mon Oct 12, 2009 2:26 am

Hi Brian,
Wow! Many thanks; I didn't think I'd get to take a look at it for a while yet! What a wonderfully dark but luminous, mysterious piece. It's a great scan, and should be no problem reading. Thanks tons again for doing this!

The Piano Concerto

Postby ctesibius » Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:43 pm

Hi all,
just a request.
Has anybody the piano concerto by Lorenzo Perosi (1916)
Perosi wrote this concerto in his best moment, when he was seen an european star. To my knowledge it was published by Ricodi, but it is out of print since long time

It is still in their catalogue, but might well be a rental item.

What about Niccolo van Westerhout(1862-1898)?

He wrote some outstanding salon pieces including a meaty Piano Sonata in F minor, nocturnes, and the bewitching Insonni piano collection. I have yet to find any scores, though.

Found on my HD, received from a friend, definitely not my scan, thanks to the original scanner, not so tipically Italian:
Westerhout Ronde d'amour A-Dur (c 1895).pdf

there are 374 scores in Milano, but I think it doesn't worth the effort of copying those, I'll give a look to the two sonatas

search here for other pieces

May I humbly have a request ?

Does anyone have Pick-Mangiagalli's

Toccata op. 7
Capriccio op. 65
Rapsodia epica op 68
Passacaglia a-minor ?

Would be of certain interest ...

Thanks !
Best regards, Ferruccio
