Another composer that I have been unable to find much about is Caroline Maude. On the score that I am putting on it says
under her name, Viscountess Hawarden. I found that there were a couple of songs she had written the
music to, but nothing else.
Here is her Irish Suite for Piano.

Thank you for that really interesting contribution. I believe her dates were 1848-1930, and she married the future Viscount in 1881, attaining the title shown on the score in 1905. Music by her seems to have been published as late as 1929. If I have the right person (and I can't see any other contenders) she seems to have been a late starter.

Definitely "salon". Her greatest hit was a waltz called "Les Ivresses".

I've been searching and searching for Louise Farrenc's Op. 48 - Valse Brillante - if anyone knows where it may be found that would be a great help! Thanks ! ;)
