I played this for a friend who knows infinitely more than me, and is currently enrolled as a music major. I wanted her to try and guess who wrote it. Her first guess was Siloti-Bach. She had to then sift through all the romantics. When I finally told her it was German she had to sift through Felix before getting to Fanny.
