Tanguay, Georges-Émile (1893 - 1964)

Tanguay_Sarabande.pdf
I thought I recognised Tanguay, but was mistaken. Anyway, this Quebecois composer has a small piano output of 9 works, which appear to have been mostly composed in his early career before he concentrated on the organ, and then becoming a founding faculty member of Conservatoire de musique du Québec à Montréal

There were some additional pieces at https://numerique.banq.qc.ca/ -
TANGUAY Gavotte et Musette (Esquisse 1).pdf
TANGUAY Causerie.pdf
I've reset them here while being bored in several days of Zoom meetings: https://musescore.com/artist/tanguay_ge ... mile-23460

You can also (cough) peruse the score of his Pavane for piano, via the Canadian Music Centre https://cmccanada.org/shop/64858/
This short piece has been orchestrated, and can be listened to here:

The Université Laval holds the manuscript of his other scores:

I will make an attempt at the others in the set, as well.
Hello... By any chance were you ever able to make a PDF of the entire set of works in Op. 19? I would dearly love to have a copy!

Hello! I have been searching for a score to George Whitefield Chadwick's Nocturne in D-flat (appears on a CD by Peter Kairoff). Anyone have any leads... or a PDF? :)

I do enjoy sharing, but I am not that good with technology. They are nice pieces. I apologize that some pages are out of order, but the music is all there. I just noticed that they have been played very nicely by Peter Kairoff, as well. Much credit deserved.

Great work!

I had just emailed Peter Kairoff today using his published email address and he replied very quickly:
How nice that you and your colleague are interested in Horatio Parker’s music! I found the op. 19 pieces at the Yale University library, and they are also held at the Library of Congress in Washington.
I’m currently teaching in Italy, and will be here for another few months, so am away from my scores. I probably still
Have a photocopy of the op 19, so let me know after the end of January if you have not been able to track them down. I’d be happy to scan them for you if I still have them in my office.
With all best wishes,
Peter Kairoff
