I have one by Judy Carmichael but I'm pretty sure it's not pubic domain. If you search her name and 'pdf' you'll find it quickly. :)

[quote="fhimpsl"]For tobyjj (and everyone else too),

I wound up having only 3 of the 5 Mayerls you're still after. "Sennen Cove" is a title that I've been aware of a very long time, but despite searching everything tonight including orchestrations I could not find a trace of it. Same with "Theme From Majestic Interlude", although that title I am not as familiar with.

Enjoy & All Best,

Frank

Frank - Scans of Sennen Cove have appeared on IMSLP with a number of other Mayerl pieces.

Hello all together,

does anyone know some of these pieces, existing or circulating as sheet music or transcriptions? the Frenchman Jean Paul SABATHE published 3 volumes of Blues transcriptions, discovered while i was searching for 5th Street Blues by Cow Cow Davenport.

perhaps you could help me out with the following titles:

Randall's Rag (Jelly Roll Morton), Turtle Twist (Morton, arr. Cook)

Pratt City Blues (Jabo Williams)

Get It Fixed Blues
He sho' don't mean no harm (Cow Cow Davenport)

Thank you for your help

mballan wrote:Herman Wasserman......unfortunately I can not find any biographical information on him, beyond he taught piano to Gershwin, and his transcription of the Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano was highly regarded. His transcriptions are superb and quite difficult to play.

PS: Frank...following our discussion, very interested in The Man I Love paraphrase.
I love these, the first I saw ofntuem was the Gershwin Rhapsody in Blue which I purchased from WB or Hal Leonard I think.
i searched and didn't see posted here , request , anyone able to post Wasserman's arrangement of concert paraphrase on Duke Ellingtons's sophisticated lady?
here's a really great performance of it
