I did once ... the lusciousness was in the form of double-stuffed Oreos that I would dip into Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate ice cream before eating. It produced a sugar-zizz that lasted 72 hours and gave me a fixed-pupil stare. There's no known antidote for it.

Something in a much lighter vein - Rudolf Friml (1879-1872). Information and bio available on Wikipedia. Although generally associated with Amercian theatre from the early 20th century, Friml was born in Prague and studied at the Prague Conservatory with Dvorak. He moved to the States around 1904 and I was curious to see mention of a Piano Concerto performed in 1906 with the New York Philharmonic.

Many thanks for the Friml - I always love to play his miniatures. Somewhere I have his Concert Waltz Op. 1 which is a real beauty and quite an ambitious piece. I need to locate it and then will post asap.

Hi Jean-Seb, My memory is to blame on this one. The piece you posted is indeed the Concert Waltz which I was thinking of, and I see the correct opus is Op. 12. Thanks for posting - now I won't have to turn the house upside down to find the score! I'll have score in hand before quoting an opus number again - with advancing years I can't pull the numbers out of the air as I used to be able to!
