Dear friends,

does anybody have access to the sheetmusic of Karel Kovarovic's piano concerto F minor op. 6, reduction for two pianos or full score?

I would love to see it!

Thx!
Best regards, Ferruccio

Jaromir Weinberger (1896, Prague - 1967, Florida). Czech-American composer, mainly remembered for his opera 'Schwanda, the Bagpiper'.

Example of his piano music - the Etude in G major, based on the Polish choral 'Z Dymem Pozarow'.

Thanks for the Weinberger, Malcolm. This is the first piece I have by him, and yes he certainly is well known for his opera--excerpts of which surface now and then. I'd swear I've heard the chorale tune before....now if I could just remember.

According to the wikipedia it served as the National Anthem in the 19th century in remembrance of a battle at Galicia in 1846, so I expect it will have been used in some music where folk and other melodies play a prominent part.

I have a question about this Bedrich Smetana Piece....

Woodland Feelings and Impressions (Lesní city a dojmy)

JB 1:31 B. 53 T. 52 (no opus number)

F minor 1847 Keyboard also known as "Nocturne" or "Impromptu"

The information is taken from IMSLP - does anyone have the score? It is quite an interesting piece appears to share it title with a piece from Smetana Op. 1, though they are not the same... help is always appreciated!
