Thank you Capriotti--the Smetna Nocturne is quite lovely. Finally got around to playing it today.

Might be worth trying the Czech Music Information Centre, first for information on this piece (stand alone piece or from a collection of pieces)...........and secondly, they have pages of scores by Hurnik (just checked), where you can purchase copies of his music.

...I am afraid that most of the PP members do no longer know the meaning of
the word "purchase" - at least not in connection with sheet music  ...

Probably the best collection of contemporary teaching pieces I've ever heard. Czech composer Tomas Svoboda's "Children's Treasure Box".

I've followed your advice and here's the answer by a very kind person
"he requested piece by Ilja Hurník called "Aleskova pisnicka" is a part from a collection of piano pieces called "Motivy z detstvi". This collection was published by Editio Supraphon in 1953, and there is no reedition available. So it si impossible for you to purchase the music. The sheet music can be borrowed from some Czech public music libraries, so I have borrowed it and scanned the piece for you - please find it attached"

As there's no reedition I think I can share it here
Hurnik, Ilja - Aleskova pisnicka.pdf
