Thank you 4candles and paolor for these - a really excellent upload to IMSLP. Anyone looking for a real technical challenge should have a go at no. 22 - which (unless you drop the marked speed to cope) has the hardest hand crossings I have seen anywhere! I would like to hear or see a performance - but it will not be from me!

Side 4:

Nocturne
Letter Galliard
Corentyne Kwe-Kwe

by Helen* Bush

*recent research has given hints that
Alan Bush is the fake name of
female composer Helen Bush.

Philip, you just haven't lived until you've tried to play Mereaux Op.63 No.24--the great hand crossing etude of all time. For Orellana etude, one just has to memorize so you can aim properly.

When one has learned this Mereaux piece as well as this young man has, all other hand-crossing issues become trivial!

The Mereaux seems to be infernal insanity for me. And the pianist is just a demon.

Walter Rummel's Prelude in B-flat minor and A Little Fairy Suite have just been uploaded to Sibley.

Paul Petrocokino (d.1985) was of Greek descent.
His piano composition style seems to have been
that of the old masters, particularly Handel.
