Hello,
Would anyone mind sharing the 3 Rhapsodies Op.92
by Stanford with the group and me?

Thanks
As the work is available from Stainer and Bell, who need customers to survive,
I suspect they'd be very annoyed to see their special editions of it made freely
available in the public domain.

This is why I decided not to upload the work either here on or IMSLP years ago.
So, much as I'd like to help with the request, it just wouldn't feel right to do so.
(The same applies to various other modern S&B/CVS publications in my collection,
sorry.)

I have approached this publisher myself several times and they have been both helpful, and their costs are very reasonable. There has been the odd occasion when the said work is not held in their archive and they have given me permission to obtain a copy from a library etc. (and which I also usually share with the publisher in case they get future enquiries). So worth approaching them.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything positive to say about this piece!
(It's hard to tell if the composer's signature on the cover was printed on.)

In 1841, Coronation, Van Amburgh, Mustapha Muley and E.O. were the
first 4 horses in the greatest flat race of them all, the Epsom Derby.
Here are 5 anonymous galops to commemorate the race that May day.

Here's a link to some nice typesets of piano music of Arthur Sullivan generously offered by the Gilbert and Sullivan Archive.

See this YouTube playlist for recordings as played by Jana Polianovskaia:

Anyone with a scan of the Allegro Risoluto to share?

Benjamin Burrows (1891-1966) isn't a name one comes across very often.
Until recently, I'm ashamed to say I'd never heard of him, despite the fact
that he was from my home city of Leicester. If anyone has any of his music
in pdf, it would be interesting to see it, copyright issues notwithstanding.
This is a thesis about the man's life and work written in 1987 by a certain
Brian Blyth Daubmey.
