I've noticed that these pieces are listed by the Bibliotheque Nationale and are held at the Richelieu site. Have you (or do you know anyone who has) experience of obtaining items from them that are still in copyright (if only just)?
I've ordered pieces from the BnF that are not under copyright, but not those still within.

There is a very large piano album of music by Felicien David posted on BnF, though the contents are not listed.

I did my best to list them here. Some of the pieces are quite nice and worth a look!

This is just FABULOUS. Thank you so much for pointing at this, probably linked with the recent release of a beautiful CD-album with a few piano pieces :

complementing the old piano CD

And I did not know about these discs! Thank YOU! Putting our heads together is what these forums are all about I suppose!

I am having trouble with the "Crescendo" link, as an aside.

You may try this link with short excerpts :

and another review (less enthusiastic) :

To me, the best of David is clearly is chamber music, not his piano music unfortunately.

Does anyone have some other rare pieces from Henri Kowalski?

I am especially looking for his Op. 87 Berceuse and his Op. 89 Nocturne (3rd)....

Thank you!

A fantastic find indeed. It appears that someone has begun the process of splitting the book up and uploading the individual pieces to IMSLP, both original color and B&W conversions.

Glad there is still interest in Felicien David.

It is worthy of noting that the piece titled Le Soir is a different "Le Soir" piece of music from that posted on IMSLP. It seems that David used the title Reverie / Le Soir for a number of different pieces! Also, thank you to whomever has been posting and converting the scores to IMSLP! :)

Can anyone comment on Gaby Casadesus' "Ma Technique Quotidienne"?

I wonder if this book is out of copyright?

I doubt it, as she died only in 1999. For most countries, it won't be out of copyright before many, many years !
