This nocturne is featured in Georges Bizet, "Œuvres pour le Piano, les Inédits et Trois Pièces du Magasin des Familles, rassemblées et présentées par Michel Poupet, édition établie par Setrak", Éditions Mario Bois, Paris.
The publisher, Mario Bois, can be contacted here:
Editions Mario Bois / BMB - 19 rue de Rocroy - 75010 Paris - Tél : 33 1 42 82 10 46 - Fax : 33 1 42 82 10 19
but I am sure that this album can be bought also directly in the United States.
Thank you both, I requested the work with the Nocturne. Should I request the Chanteur collection?

Does anyone have the piano Sonata or other works by Antoine Mariotte? A friend recently brought him to my attention.

Thanks, but not the sonata unfortunately ... the Japanese pieces here look tempting though!

Dear alfor,

first of all thanks for ALL of your very pleasant posts. Here is some bio of Bodó (I know you are familiar with the German language):

Auszug aus dem Klavier-Lexikon von W.Niemann (Verlag C.F.Kahnt Leipzig, 1918):

Bodo, Alois, geb. 27. Okt. 1869 zu Budapest, Schüler und
(seit 1899) Klavierprofessor des dortigen Konservatoriums.
Partner von Jenö Hubay und Remenyi (Reisen in Ungarn,
Italien, Rußland). Hübsche virtuose Salonsachen (Ungarische
Rhapsodien, Perpetuum mobile u. a.).

Grüße, Georgio

Danke! (I think it is a good idea to pull out my copy of the Klavierlexikon ;) !)

Thanks Alfred....think that is the first time I've come across a piece of music dedicated to Bortkiewicz........make's me wonder about the connection between the two composers, as no reference to Bodó in any of his letters.
