I wait eagerly to see if this project actually materialises, but one of the studies, played by pianist Artur Cimirro, is already available on YouTube here.
The pianist provides a well-considered article on the project here.

Irrespective of members' opinions of the music in question, I applaud any musician who takes up the challenge of such comparatively out-of-the-way repertoire. I hope more like-minded musicians come to the fore in the future.

I wonder if there is a fingered Ravel Piano Concerto in G available?

(Thinking aloud: am i too greedy to ask Alfor for a Christmas gift of his fingerings??? If he already have one in hand)

Dear soh choon wee,

I will see what I can do for you. A decent fingering of the Concerto in G should be fairly easy (resp. not too difficult)...

All best

alfor

P.S. Upcoming alfor fingerings ($ 5.00 per page ;) ) : Ireland Sonata (complete); Le Tombeau de Couperin (complete); Roussel Sonatine; some Medtner Sonatas.
Best regards, Alfor S. Cans

Festive indeed! I would especially welcome fingerings for Le Tombeau de Couperin and the Roussel Sonatine. I have never been completely happy with my fingerings for the Ravel. Nice to get back to the piano after being away for 2 weeks.

How do you like this, dear soh choon wee?!

Maurice RAVEL
Piano Concerto in G major mvt. 1

alfor fingered
Ravel PC G 1.pdf
I corrected the printing error page 7, bar 3:
The left-hand notes e-b sharp-c sharp are clearly marked as a triplet
in the full score. So the corresponding right-hand notes b natural and a
must be eight notes. The following notes in the left hand (e and g sharp)
have to be played simultaneously! They are notated in a strange way, because
they are written in different clefs!

I still have to check how Monique Haas handles this bar in her recording.

Page 4, bars 3 & 4: I am not exactly sure that the 8va signs have been placed correctly.
(Please let me know your opinion.)
