Dear Friend:

Ponce’s Mazurkas VI and XXVII can be download at:
http://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Ponce,_Manuel

Unfortunately I do not have some more mazurkas. My list of his works only mention "Mazurkas", so I do not have the exact number of these compositions for piano.

Regards.

Grove simply lists '20 Mazurkas' but gives no further details.

I have a seven disc set of the complete piano works by Ponce.
The fourth disc gives recordings of 22 Mazurkas, but there is another single Mazurka on
disc six. Unless any have appeard since these recordings 23 is the number I can offer.

Dear Ilu,
can you post the Chavez score? I'm interested.
Thank you.

Most if not all have already been posted. Try page 10...or else search for 'chavez'.

Here's a nice transcription of Manuel Ponce's La Estrellita by Henry S. Sawyer. I vaguely remember scanning this a while back but I don't see it here or in my files.

Here's a nice set of variations by Manuel Corral. I tracked this down a dozen or so years ago after hearing Guy Bovet's recording on the organ. It was already unavailable even back then but I was lucky enough to be able to borrow a copy through interlibrary loan.
