Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Dear All,
I was wondering if anyone might have some leads on any of the following collections of piano transcriptions for piano two hands of Korngold film scores. They were published by Warners Bros but are all long out of print. I've searched high and low for secondhand copies, to no avail.
KORNGOLD: The Adventures of Robin Hood - Suite for Piano (PF0411) (arr. Jeff Sultanoff)
KORNGOLD: The Sea Hawk/ Captain Blood - Suites for Piano (PF0415) (arr. Dave Jessie, and Jeff Sultanoff)
KORNGOLD: Kings Row - Suite for Piano (PF0535) (arr. Tony Esposito)
Alternatively, All three of these volumes were published together - along with some other scores - in:
"Deluxe Classic Film Scores for Piano" (PF0623) - This 120 page collection includes the following piano arrangements:
Steiner: Gone With The Wind - Suite
Tiomkin: Giant
Korngold: The Adventures of Robin Hood - Suite
Korngold: Captain Blood - Suite
Korngold: Kings Row - Suite
J. Williams: Superman - Suite
Many thanks in advance for any leads!

Dear everybody,
would you be able to share Clara Schumanns transcription of 4 canonical studies of Roberts op 56. First published London, Novello 1896.
Already a big thank you… there are some stunning performances by her students.

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Phillip Sear just uploaded a nice recording of Arthur Loam's arrangement of the Londonderry Air.

See this post for the score as well as his Maranoa Fantasy on an Australian Aboriginal Theme.

I reworked two other of his arrangements from the NLA.

Peter Warlock - Milkmaids. This appeared on IMSLP about two years ago. I cleaned it up and converted it to B&W but I guess I never uploaded it here.

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
I’ve been playing this piece (my music teacher gave me a copy) for many years and it’s really quite attractive and imaginative to play. I must admit that I play significantly more slowly than Mr Luxon sings it - it feels better that way.

From the July, 1939 issue of Etude - Charles Wakefield Cadman's transcription of his song 'At Dawning'.

A fairly faithful rendition by the Composer on a piano roll.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfeASJhw7O4

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Any update on this?
By the way did you know Jean Françaix arranged a suite of Poulenc's music? The Valse from l'album des six, L'embarquement pour Cythère, and even the sultry Mélancholie sandwiched between the Élégie for two pianos. Wonderful stuff! https://youtu.be/CSfkmnbXg4Y

Re: Piano Transcriptions for two hands
Hello!
Does anyone know if any of Alexandre Tharaud's piano versions of
George Bizet's Adagietto and Bach's Andante from Concerto BWV 979 are available.
Thanks!
